Hi! I’m a planetary climate scientist and Houghton Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellow in MIT’s Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences. I received my Ph.D. in Earth and Planetary Sciences from Harvard University.
I study the co-evolution of climate and spin on rocky planets and how that coupling shapes their potential habitability. My research uses Earth, Venus, and Mars as local laboratories for understanding how planets evolve through time. Depending on the question, I use a hierarchy of models that range from conceptual models to fully coupled 3D climate models.
If you love cloud feedbacks, tides, multiple equilibria, and planetary dynamics, you've come to the right place.
